When Monster Hunter Wilds DLC Will Release In 2025
Fans have already sunk hundreds of hours into Monster Hunter Wilds and are naturally wondering when they can expect to see more content. The series typically gets a series of small pieces of DLC, including new cosmetics and items as well as terrifying monsters to fight, as well as massive expansions that flesh out the narrative, introduce even more monsters, and typically add new areas.
Past Monster Hunter expansions, especially the absolutely incredible Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, have helped keep the game alive, entertaining its fanbase and bringing in new fans who are interested in experiencing everything the base game and DLC have to offer. Fortunately, those hoping that Wilds will get the same treatment are in luck as Capcom has already announced a lot of DLC coming to the game in the near future.

Two Pieces Of DLC Are Planned So Far
Monster Hunter Wilds has two pieces of DLC confirmed to be coming over the next few months. These include one coming in Spring - now confirmed to be in early April - which is adding the fan-favorite monster Mizutune, a higher difficulty than Tempered, and the Gathering Hub. The latter is a new area in which players can gather, hang out, share meals with one another, and chat, making it the perfect starting point before heading out on an adventure. Here are all the confirmed pieces of DLC coming in 2025.
DLC | Release Date |
---|---|
Mizutsune, Event Quests, New Difficulty, Gathering Hub | "Early" April 2025 |
New Monster + Event Quests | Summer 2025 |
The second piece of DLC coming in 2025 is launching in the summer. Capcom hasn't confirmed when in summer players can expect it, nor many details about what the DLC will entail. All fans know is that it will add a new monster and event quests. Naturally, many are hoping that the new enemy will be a returning Monster Hunter monster, although details surrounding it are scarce. Importantly, each of these pieces of DLC will come in the form of free updates, so fans don't have to worry about paying to access them.
What Monster Hunter Wilds Could Add In 2026
Fans Can Likely Expect A New Expansion
Of course, fans want to know when a big paid expansion will be coming to Monster Hunter Wilds, and, unfortunately, Capcom has not yet announced one. However, fans can likely expect to see a paid expansion in 2026. Monster Hunter World launched in January 2018, and its paid expansion, Iceborne, launched in September 2019. Similarly, Rise launched in March 2021, with its paid expansion, Sunbreak, launching in June 2022.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Another Great Capcom Game With The Same Silly Caveat
Capcom has once again made a masterpiece with Monster Hunter Wilds, but it has one huge caveat that the developer can’t stop adding to its games.
As Capcom usually takes just over a year to release a paid expansion for its modern Monster Hunter titles, then fans can likely expect Wilds around June 2026 or potentially later in the year. Of course, with Wilds' bigger focus on story, it is possible that its paid expansion could take longer to make on account of it featuring more cutscenes and set pieces. Therefore, fans can likely expect to see Monster Hunter Wilds' paid expansion in 2027 at the absolute latest.
